Resolution Guide
Choose your resolution based on your enlargement needs:

600ppi: for up to 4x enlargement
1200ppi: for up to 8x enlargement



How we determine artwork size
Artworks that fall outside the listed sizes will be priced according to the nearest A-series equivalent. Pricing also accounts for additional scan passes, and increased processing time for higher-resolution files and artworks with significant dimensions.


Framed artworks
We cannot scan through glass, and prefer not to take on the risk of disassembling framed works. If we do agree to remove artwork from a frame, a $50 handling fee will apply (per framed item). However, if the artwork or frame is particularly old and/or valuable, we may suggest taking it to an experienced framer for disassembly.


Limitations
While we operate one of the largest flatbed scanners available, there are still a few limitations regarding artwork size, format, and medium — as well as some risks we're not willing to take.

  • We cannot scan rigid, stretched, or mounted artworks larger than 600 × 1000mm.
  • We may decline artworks with transferable surfaces, such as dry pastels (unless fixed), unsealed oil pastels, or uncured oil paints.
  • extured or three-dimensional artworks cannot be scanned. Minor texture is fine, but anything over 3mm deep may cause focus issues.
  • We may decline to scan extremely delicate artworks that are at risk of damage during handling.



File Storage Policies
Raw scan files are available for download for 30 days. Please ensure you download them before the link expires, as we do not back up these files.
Standard Edit, Artwork Reproduction and Premium (film) scan files are hosted on our Dropbox for one year. You must maintain your own backups, as we do not guarantee long-term file storage. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to back up your files.
